As a social media representative on integrated account teams, this role is responsible for the day-to-day execution of organic and paid social initiatives, translating client messaging and campaign objectives into platform-specific content that delivers measurable results. Social Media Specialists independently manage their own deliverables and timelines while contributing thoughtful, data-informed recommendations that strengthen client programs. This role requires strong writing skills, sound judgment, strong attention to detail, curiosity about evolving social platforms, and the ability to collaborate effectively under deadlines and across integrated account teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the day-to-day execution of social media programs for assigned accounts, ensuring content is delivered accurately, on time, and aligned with client objectives
- Develop engaging, platform-specific copy and manage editorial calendars for corporate and executive profiles across channels—primarily LinkedIn, but might include X, Instagram, Facebook, and emerging platforms as appropriate
- Manage the publishing and scheduling of social content using Brandwatch, Sprout Social or similar platforms
- Support executive social media and employee advocacy initiatives by developing content that strengthens thought leadership and brand visibility
- Monitor client social channels, engage with online communities as appropriate, and conduct social listening to identify trends, opportunities, competitive insights, and potential issues
- Measure and report on social media performance, providing thoughtful analysis and tactical recommendations to improve engagement and achieve client goals
- Create light visual assets for social media and coordinate with designers on more complex creative needs
- Collaborate closely with PR, content, and account teams to ensure integrated campaigns are translated effectively across social channels
- Stay current on platform updates, algorithm changes, emerging trends, and evolving best practices, proactively sharing relevant recommendations with internal teams and clients
- Deliver high-quality client service by participating in client meetings, providing clear program updates, and responding to client requests in a timely manner
- Other duties as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field
- About one year of social media experience in a workplace (not classroom) setting preferred; agency and/or B2B technology experience is a plus
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences and platforms
- Understanding of social media best practices, audience engagement, and community management
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
- Positive, collaborative attitude, curiosity, and a desire to continuously learn
Work Environment
This is a full-time hybrid role. The Social Media Specialist will be expected to work from our Boston office at least twice per week, depending on client and team needs. Occasional out-of-state travel for client and V2 purposes may be required.

Compensation
The expected salary for this role is $55,000–$65,000 annually, and may vary based on experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary, V2 Communications offers a competitive benefits package, including health, dental and vision insurance; a 401(k) with a 3% Safe Harbor contribution; generous paid time off; hybrid work flexibility; and opportunities for professional development and career growth.
