What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Manager - MRO position at V1MRO Solutions, LLC?
V1MRO Solutions is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join its rapidly growing team. The qualified candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience working as a Quality Assurance Manager for a certified 145 repair station with specific experience in managing the regulatory requirements of the repair station.
- Direct, plan and lay out details of inspection standards, methods and procedures used by the repair station in complying with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer’s specifications.
- Supervise, assist and direct all personnel assigned to the QA department.
- Ascertain that all repair station procedures are being following in accordance with the RSM/QCM.
- Ensure that the proper inspection records, reports and forms used by the repair station are properly executed.
- Maintain the Inspection Department’s turn over log for continuing work and inspections.
- Execute and submit the FAA Malfunction and Defects Report when required.
- Monitor receiving inspection of all incoming material, parts and supplies used by the repair station for the maintenance or alteration of articles and the preliminary, hidden damage inspections and the inspection continuity of all items repaired by the repair station.
- Ensure that rejected and unserviceable parts are properly identified, tagged and returned to the customer or properly discarded.
- Ensure an audit of the authorized sub-contractors responsible for calibration of the Company’s calibrated equipment is accomplished at least once a year and that calibration standards are traceable to the National Institute of Technical Standards or other governmental controlling agency standards.
- Maintain, monitor and enforce the training program in accordance with the Training Manual.
- Maintain, monitor and enforce the shelf life program.
- Maintain, monitor and enforce the calibration and tool control programs.
- Familiarity with implementing an AS9110 program is strongly preferred. The position will lead the organization's AS9110 certification and maintain the Quality system to those standards.
A&P license preferred but not required. Prior experience managing an FAA Quality Assurance system is required. Knowledge of Part 145 FARs, Repair Station Manual, Training Manual, Forms Manuals, Calibration Programs, Shelf Life Programs, Engineering Orders, Process Specs, CMM, SRM, and IPC.
