V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Data Engineer for our premier client in Louisville, Kentucky.
Education And Experience »
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in data warehousing
- Experience with data modeling and designing scalable data architectures.
Knowledge And Skills
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Informatica).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Redshift).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in data warehousing or cloud platforms.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
What You’ll Do
Job Responsibilities:
Data Architecture
- Collaborate with data architects to design and implement scalable data storage solutions such as data lakes, warehouses, and databases.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in schema design and data modeling.
Data Integration
- Integrate data from diverse sources, including APIs, databases, and third-party systems.
- Ensure data is clean, consistent, and reliable through effective validation techniques.
Performance Optimization
- Monitor and improve the performance of data infrastructure.
- Debug and resolve data pipeline or infrastructure issues promptly.
Collaboration
- Partner with data analysts, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver impactful solutions.
- Provide technical expertise on data-related initiatives and projects.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
