Education and Experience »
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (or minimum of 4 years work experience).
- Strong understanding of mold design, injection molding processes, tooling materials, secondary operations, and (need to add Quality knowledge).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Attention to detail and ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed cost estimates for plastic injection molds, tooling, and production molding, including materials, labor, cycle times, and secondary operations.
- Work with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to determine optimal tooling designs, production methods, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Work with Sales Operations leadership to generate progress reports and monitor performance metrics related to technology performance, revenue, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide accurate and timely cost breakdowns for tooling and molding projects, including prototype and production phases.
- Communicate customer requirements and expectations to all internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of customer orders.
- Monitor industry trends and advancements in injection molding and tooling to improve estimating accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned.
