What You’ll Need
Technical Requirements and Certifications »
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Advanced degree (preferred).
- 7 years of IT infrastructure or cloud experience, with 4 years focused on Azure cloud architecture.
- Proven experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments.
- Expert proficiency in deployment and optimization of Azure services including networking (VNet, NSG, Azure Firewall, Express Route), identity (Entra ID), compute (VMs, AVD), and storage (Blob, Files, Disk).
- Expert proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), scripting (PowerShell), and DevOps pipelines.
- Familiarity with secure collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Intune, Conditional Access).
Job Responsibilities:
- Cloud Architecture & Strategy:
- Develop automation scripts for repeatable deployments.
- Define tagging, cost controls, policy enforcement, and identity/access management (IAM) strategies.
- Partner with application owners, IT infrastructure, and security teams to ensure smooth migration and ongoing operations of workloads in Azure.
- Support investigations, incident response, and security audits involving cloud assets.
- Continuously evaluate new Azure services, automation capabilities, and tools to enhance productivity and reduce risk.
- Guide optimization of cost, performance, and operational efficiency across the Azure estate.
- Implement and govern security best practices including Azure Policy, Azure Key Vault, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Azure Security Center.
- Collaborate with Information Security to enforce encryption (at rest/in transit), DLP, Conditional Access, and Zero Trust principles.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks, such as ISO 27001.
