V Slade Electric LLC is seeking a Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. We are looking for a motivated professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and customer service.
Compensation
💲 $30.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience, licenses, certifications, and qualifications.
Position Summary
The Licensed Journeyman Electrician will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial environments. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or leading crews as needed.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and specifications
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs efficiently
- Install conduit, wiring, lighting, panels, switchgear, and other electrical equipment
- Ensure all work complies with NEC requirements and local electrical codes and safety standards, including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and team members
- Complete required documentation and job reports accurately and timely
- Mentor apprentices and support crew development as needed
Qualifications
- Active Journeyman Electrician License in Virginia with proven experience in commercial projects.
- 5 years of electrical experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Experience in commercial construction and service work preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in indoor and outdoor conditions
Preferred Certifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Equipment certifications (scissor lift, boom lift, etc.)
- Fire Alarm, Building Automation and/or Low Voltage experience a plus
