What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement & Subcontract Administrator position at V&S Construction Company?
Build with a team that takes control seriously.
We’re a growing heavy civil contractor focused on disciplined execution—where estimating, scheduling, and cost control actually drive how projects are built. We’re looking for a Procurement & Subcontract Administrator who thrives in a structured, detail-driven environment and wants to play a meaningful role in how projects are bought out, documented, and delivered.
The Opportunity
This isn’t just a paperwork role. You’ll be embedded in the core of project execution—supporting buyout, subcontract administration, and billing processes that directly impact cost control and risk management. You’ll work closely with estimating, project management, and accounting to ensure everything is aligned from estimate through payment.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
· Preparing and issuing subcontracts and purchase orders
· Supporting scope development and ensuring alignment with estimates and contracts
· Maintaining compliance documentation (insurance, bonds, prequalifications)
· Managing contract files, commitments, and change orders
· Supporting billing and payment documentation to ensure contract compliance
· Coordinating across teams to keep procurement and documentation clean, complete, and accurate
What We’re Looking For
· 3 years in construction, procurement, subcontract administration, or project coordination
· Strong understanding of construction documents, scopes, and contract structure
· Highly organized with strong attention to detail
· Comfortable working across multiple teams and priorities
· Experience with construction ERP systems (e.g., Foundation/Viewpoint) is a plus
What Sets This Role Apart
· Direct exposure to how projects are actually managed—not just tracked
· Clear systems and expectations (not chaos-driven project management)
· Opportunity to grow into senior project support or project management roles
· High accountability environment with leadership that values structure and execution
Why Join Us
· Work on meaningful heavy civil infrastructure projects
· Be part of a company building systems the right way from the ground up
· Competitive compensation based on experience
· Opportunity for long-term growth as the company scales
