Part-Time Retail and Design Associate
V&R Interiors and The Store | Santa Fe, New Mexico
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 9:30am – 5:00pm
Pay: $24/hour
About Us: V&R The Store is the retail arm of V&R Interiors, a full-service interior design firm based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Our store offers a carefully curated selection of home décor, furnishings, and design accessories that reflect our commitment to quality and timeless style.
Position Overview: We're seeking an energetic and personable individual to manage the day-to-day retail operations of V&R The Store and assist with the day to day operations of the design side of the firm. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of retail and interior design in one of Santa Fe's most vibrant creative communities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge to clients
- Process sales transactions and maintain accurate inventory records
- Merchandise displays and maintain store presentation standards
- Coordinate with the V&R Interiors design team on client orders and special requests
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Assist with receiving, tagging, and organizing new merchandise
- Maintain a welcoming and organized store environment
- Create and post marketing content for The Store on social media platforms
Design Support
- Coordinate with the V&R Interiors design team on client orders and special requests
- Assist with sourcing, tracking, and organizing samples, fabrics, and finish materials
- Help prepare presentation boards, mood boards, and client proposal materials
- Support scheduling and communication for designer client meetings and vendor appointments
- Assist with organizing and maintaining the design library and vendor resources
- Help track project timelines, orders, and deliveries alongside the design team
- Provide general administrative support to designers as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Interest in interior design, home décor, or the arts
- Comfortable with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
- Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed
- Reliable transportation required
