Duties

• Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical devices following established protocols.
• Inspect instruments for damage or wear, ensuring all equipment meets safety standards before use.
• Manage inventory levels of sterilization supplies and medical instruments, accurately tracking usage and reordering as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and inventory logs for compliance and quality assurance.
• Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques during processing to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare sterile supplies for upcoming procedures efficiently.
• Follow all safety guidelines related to handling biohazardous materials and maintain a clean, organized processing area.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sterile processing or a related healthcare environment.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to understand instrument functions and surgical procedures.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems to track supplies accurately.
• Demonstrated expertise in aseptic technique and sterilization procedures aligned with industry standards.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions and follow detailed protocols meticulously.
• Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Relevant certifications or training in sterile processing or Central Service technology are preferred but not mandatory. Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
