Role Description This is a full-time, remote Sales Representative serving customers in the Wausau territory. The Sales Representative will build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers, including restaurants, foodservice operations, and other accounts that rely on fresh produce and related products.
Daily responsibilities include visiting customer locations, presenting product offerings, identifying customer needs, and recommending solutions and menu ideas that align with V. Marchese’s quality standards. The role involves managing a sales pipeline, preparing quotes, processing orders, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely deliveries. The Sales Representative will also monitor market trends, gather customer feedback, and contribute to sales goals through proactive outreach, territory planning, and follow-up. Qualifications
- Proven sales, account management, or customer-facing experience, preferably in foodservice, distribution, or a related industry.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities, with a customer-centric and consultative approach.
- Solid organizational, time management, and territory planning skills, including the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Comfort with basic technology such as CRM systems, email, spreadsheets, and mobile devices for route management and reporting.
- Knowledge of or interest in produce, dairy, and food products, including menu applications and seasonal offerings.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
- Ability to work on-site in Milwaukee, WI, and in the field, including lifting sample cases and navigating warehouse and customer environments.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in business, sales, or hospitality is a plus.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
