Medical Biller / Coder / Collector (Full-Time)
Location: Dunedin, FL

Schedule: Monday–Friday | No Weekends or Holidays
About the Role
Our well-established family and multi-specialty practice in Dunedin is seeking a dependable, experienced Medical Claims Specialist / Biller / Coder / Collector to join our team full-time. This role is essential in managing the complete billing cycle—from claim submission through payment—while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency to support the financial health of the practice.
Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, you will utilize your strong understanding of medical billing processes, insurance requirements, and coding standards to keep workflows running smoothly and promote high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned accounts from claim submission to payment resolution
- Work daily Accounts Receivable (A/R) and address outstanding balances
- Review and correct claim errors and resubmit denied claims
- Process and track authorizations
- Accurately post payments and adjustments
- Apply knowledge of insurance guidelines, including Medicaid and commercial payers
- Use appropriate CPT, ICD, and insurance codes to ensure clean claim submission
- Maintain accuracy within the EHR system (Eclinical experience a plus)
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent medical office billing experience (required)
- Experience working with all insurance types, including Medicaid
- Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD coding
- Proficiency with EHR systems; EclinicalWorks experience preferred
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to manage a high-volume workflow
- Strong understanding of medical billing terminology and processes
