Job Summary:
NCDOT is seeking a candidate with strong knowledge of Physical Security operations and IT systems to support the Facilities Access Control System (FACS) within the Department of Transportation Physical Security Division. The selected consultant will coordinate physical security activities, maintain documentation, support Genetec access control systems, manage ServiceNow requests, collaborate with vendors, and assist with ongoing improvements to the Physical Security program.
This is a 100% Onsite position.
Responsibilities:
- Support Physical Security operations and coordinate activities related to the Facilities Access Control System (FACS).
- Develop, manage, track, and maintain Physical Security Site Survey diagrams.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure site survey documentation accurately reflects installed equipment and hardware.
- Maintain all Physical Security documentation within the department's document repository.
- Track scheduled security site implementations and provide weekly project updates.
- Maintain Physical Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, reports, and documentation.
- Submit, monitor, and manage incidents and service requests using the ServiceNow platform.
- Support inventory management activities and assist the Physical Inventory Specialist as needed.
- Coordinate with vendor technicians to test, troubleshoot, and validate proper operation of FACS equipment.
- Coordinate scheduled preventive maintenance, equipment replacement, modifications, relocations, and repairs with site contacts and vendors.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to Physical Security personnel.
- Maintain the Physical Security SharePoint site in collaboration with IT Application Support.
- Generate and analyze audit reports to identify risks, faults, and opportunities for improvement.
- Resolve identified security risks and operational issues within the access control system.
- Collaborate with Physical Security, ServiceNow, Inventory, and IT teams to enhance Physical Security program capabilities.
- Participate in Facilities Access Control System (FACS) upgrades and enhancements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Physical Security Management.
