Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and send invoices to clients promptly, accurately and in accordance with company policies.
- Process incoming payments and reconcile them with customer accounts.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of all billing and receivable transactions.
- Respond to customer queries related to billing and payments.
- Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred)
- 2–5 years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ERP systems
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
