Role Overview & Scope
- Job Title: Senior UX Researcher (Qualitative or Mixed Methods)

- Duration: 6-month contract
- Team & Product: UX Research team focused on evolving AI mode capabilities into agentic features
- Scope: end-to-end research for a newly launched feature (Information Agents — where users set up queries and receive updates later)
- Program Ownership: Lead strategic, foundational, and iterative research projects from scoping to execution.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with PMs, designers, engineers, and UX leads to translate research needs into actionable study designs.
- Methodology Execution: Conduct analysis, synthesize data, map user journeys, and deliver detailed reports.
- Industry Tracking: Monitor agentic and GenAI trends to contextualize research insights.
- Research Skills & Methodologies
- Qualitative Mastery: Strong expertise in interviews, contextual inquiries, usability studies.
- Longitudinal Research: Proven experience with diary studies; ability to scale longitudinal research efficiently.
- Data Analysis: Focus on direct user feedback; mixed-methods profiles with descriptive statistics welcome (no system log analysis required).
- Industry & Product Background
- Consumer AI Focus: Prior B2C AI research experience strongly preferred.
- AI Quality Experience: Background in tuning AI experiences qualitatively is a major plus.
- Target Companies: Researchers from large-scale consumer tech environments adapt well, but are open to diverse backgrounds.
- Career & Education Parameters
- Experience Level: 7 years applied research (flexible to 6 for exceptional profiles).
