Position Summary
The Senior Recruiter leads full-cycle recruiting across a variety of roles, primarily supporting store-level and frontline hiring while also contributing to leadership searches.
This role partners closely with hiring managers and HR to plan for upcoming store openings, build strong talent pipelines, and continuously improve recruiting processes. You’ll play a key role in shaping the candidate experience and ensuring Uwajimaya attracts and hires talent that reflects its values and community.
Position’s Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle, high-volume recruiting (averaging 20–25 requisitions), primarily frontline and store-level roles

Support recruitment for leadership positions, including Director-level roles, as needed

Partner with hiring managers to align role requirements, timelines, and hiring strategies

Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines, especially in support of new store openings

Enhance the candidate experience, ensuring a thoughtful, high-touch approach aligned with Uwajimaya’s brand

Develop and refine interview guides, assessments, and hiring practices

Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, tools, and workflows

Develop and maintain recruiting reports and metrics, providing insights on pipeline health, talent trends, and hiring challenges

Manage relationships with external recruiting vendors, including agencies and retained search firms, to support hiring needs

Collaborate with store leadership and HR to support workforce planning and hiring needs

Support employer branding and community-based recruiting initiatives

Qualifications

7 years of full-cycle recruiting experience

Experience in retail, grocery, hospitality, food, or high-volume hiring environments strongly preferred

Proven ability to manage a high requisition load while maintaining quality

Experience recruiting across both frontline and leadership roles

Strong sourcing and pipeline-building skills

Ability to build structure and improve recruiting processes

Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills

Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively

Proficiency with ATS and recruiting tools

Salary range is: $86,137 - $129,217 annually, depending on experience

May require occasional travel to store locations to support hiring needs and store openings.
