Role Description
This is an on-site pharmacy PGY-2 position for the Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency (ID PGY2) role at UW Medicine, located in Seattle, WA. The resident will be responsible for providing advanced clinical pharmacy services focused on infectious diseases, engaging in patient care rounds with physicians, and preparing medication regimens aligned with evidence-based practices. Additional responsibilities include contributing to antimicrobial stewardship programs, educating healthcare providers and trainees, and participating in research projects aimed at enhancing infectious disease management.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Medicine, including Infectious Diseases and related pharmacy practices.
- Proficiency in Communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients.
- Graduation from or anticipated completion of an accredited pharmacy residency (PGY1).
- Eligibility for or current pharmacist licensure in Washington State.
- Commitment to patient care, teaching, and research in a collaborative environment.
