What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specimen Control & Receiving Technician position at UW Health?
Work Schedule:
100% FTE, Day/Evening shift, 1330-2200 Monday - Friday Rotating Weekends and Holidays. You will work at the UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford, IL.
Additional components of compensation may include:
- Evening, night, and weekend shift differential
- Overtime
- On-call pay

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Required
- Some post-secondary education in a healthcare or a related science field that may include course work in Medical Laboratory Technician, Cytotechnologist, Histotechnician or Medical Laboratory Scientist degree/certification. Preferred
Work Experience
- 6 months healthcare or laboratory related work experience. Required
- 1 year healthcare or laboratory related work experience. Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- PBT(ASCP) Certification. Preferred
