We are seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant Apprentice to:
Minimum – High School Diploma or equivalent and formal acceptance into the UW Health Medical, Ophthalmology or Nursing Assistant Clinical Apprentice Program Required
Preferred –
Work Experience:
Preferred –
Minimum – 1 year of prior work experience Required
Certifications:
Minimum – No Certification Required.
Preferred – Basic Life Support / CPR

We are seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant Apprentice to:
- Join the UW Health Ophthalmic Assistant Apprenticeship Program which is designed for those interested in becoming an ophthalmic assistant.
- Attend in person classes and clinicals.
- Upon successful completion of the program, you will be interviewed and may be placed in an ophthalmic assistant position within UW Health.
- Gain hands on experience in direct patient care tasks, visual acuities, processes, and procedures in an ophthalmology setting.
