UW Carbone Cancer Center offers an exceptional opportunity for a Medical Oncologist with interest in Breast Cancer to join our team!
As Clinician Track faculty, you will enjoy direct patient care, with the opportunity to provide clinical teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as clinical research endeavors. At UW Health EastPark Medical Center, you will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to cancer care, in a state-of the art, 480K sq ft new facility. This includes providing inpatient and outpatient clinic attending services at UW Hospitals and Clinics locations in Madison and at additional sites within the region.
Responsibilities of the Clinician Teacher track candidate include:
- 90-100% direct patient care at UW Health approved locations, including ambulatory, inpatient and consult service attending.
- 5-10% academic time for educational and other scholarly activities, which includes pro-actively supporting efforts to improve diversity in clinical trial participants.
- This position is full or part time, 80%-100%
- This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.
- This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations.
- The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law every four years.
- Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Clinical Professor, Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Assistant Professor. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.
