Provides accurate billing and documentation to support the billing. The Radiation Therapist is required to provide the best quality of care with the resources available to them, including making clinical decisions during image registration for the best possible treatment accuracy. The Radiation Therapist may be asked to participate in problem solving discussions regarding patient care or specialized treatment techniques. Reports to Lead Radiation Therapist and Radiation Oncology Practice Supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program bachelor’s degree preferred. Required Certification/Licensure: Must be a member in good standing of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and currently licensed or licensure eligible as a Radiation Therapist in the State of New York. Experience: Clinical experience in radiation therapy preferred. Knowledge/Special Skills: • Knowledge of Radiation Therapy treatment practices, use of specialized equipment. • Demonstrated knowledge of radiation therapy equipment and techniques. • Demonstrated experience with sophisticated radiation therapy techniques.
