Join our team providing skilled nursing care to middle-aged and older adults in a supportive setting that offers a mix of short-stay and long-term care.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct resident care under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Care for residents with a variety of needs, including post-operative recovery, sepsis, complex wounds and long-term care needs.
- Provide skilled nursing care, including wound care, wound vacs and antibiotic therapy.
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy and other members of the healthcare team.
- Work within a larger healthcare organization with strong clinical support and access to hospital-based resources.
About the Unit
- Serves a diverse population of middle-aged and older adults.
- Includes both short-stay and long-term residents, with short-stay stays generally ranging from 1-6 weeks.
- Provides skilled nursing, wound care, antibiotic therapy and rehabilitation services through PT, OT and Speech.
- Convenient access to CVPH clinical resources, including the Vascular Team, Rapid Response and Respiratory Therapy.
- Located just two floors from the Emergency Department, providing close access to additional hospital support when needed.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current New York State LPN license.
- Previous experience preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to meet physical/pre-placement screening requirements.
