What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse - Family Medicine Center position at UVM Health - Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital?
Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, current bargaining unit employees have priority consideration for this position if they apply within seven (7) days of the posting date. After this period, all applicants will be considered equally.
Primary: 7:30am-4:00pm; Secondary: 8:00am-4:30pm

The Family Medicine Center Licensed Practical Nurse has responsibilities that include intake, processing of patients, phlebotomy and EKGs, simple patient/family treatment as directed by the professional staff. AHA-BLS certification is required however, certification is not a qualifying factor to obtain the position.

Qualifications
Education/Skills Required:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.
- AHA-BLS is required within 6 months of hire or a current non-AHA-BLS card will be honored up to the date of renewal. Two (2) years previous medical office experience or primary care experience preferred.
- 1-2 years of medical/surgical experience preferred.
- Ability to function as an integral part of a team.
- Excellent telephone skills
- Must be detail oriented and organized.
- Meets requirements of physical/pre-placement screening.
