Job Description

Performs, calculates, reviews and reports laboratory diagnostic tests. Performs phlebotomy as needed. Maintains and troubleshoots laboratory equipment. Understands the clinical significance of the testing performed. Responsibilities for correction of procedural / instrument issues. Responsible for teaching, training and mentoring.

Education

Bachelor's degree in biological science or chemistry, but medical lab science degree preferred. Medical Laboratory Scientist certified or certified in the field. If certificate qualified, certification to occur within 1 year of hire.

Experience

Minimum experience – MLS internship completed.
