What are the responsibilities and job description for the Correctional Officer position at Uvalde County Sheriff's Office?
Must possess at least a high school diploma or G.E.D.
Must be at least eighteen (18) years old, be a U.S. citizen.
Must not have been convicted of a Class "B" misdemeanor or above.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, physical and a psychological exam.
Must be able to be licensed as a TCOLE Commissioned Corrections Officer.
12 hour duration shifts 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, two two three work schedule. Every other weekend you will be off.
Maintain custody and control of inmates within the jail complex.
Supervising inmate's activities such as recreation, feeding, visitation, and other functions.
Respond to emergency situations.
