Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site leadership role located in Uvalde, Texas. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all financial operations of Uvalde CISD, including financial planning, budget development, financial reporting, and analyzing fiscal data to support informed decision-making. The CFO will ensure compliance with financial regulations, manage funding allocation, and collaborate with key stakeholders to optimize the district's resources. This role requires maintaining the highest standards of integrity, accuracy, and financial stewardship to support the district's mission.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Financial Planning, Financial Statements, and overall Finance management
- Proficiency in Financial Reporting and Analytical Skills to support data-driven decision-making
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations, policies, and practices in the education sector
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities
- Familiarity with school district budget processes is preferred
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus
- Previous experience in a leadership financial role, ideally in the public or education sector
