UVA Imaging is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, compassionate individual who is a strong communicator to join an energetic, patient-focused team! Are you passionate about patient care? Do you love interacting with people? Come and join our team as an LPN for a full-time position at our outpatient imaging center located in Charlottesville, VA. 

As an LPN in our outpatient location, you will be:

• preparing imaging patients for their CT and MRI exams
• Reviewing patient allergies and histories
• Reviewing MRI safety screening questions
• Starting IV for contrast injection
• Accessing ports for contrast injections
• Assisting the physician with any patient emergencies.  

We are currently hiring for 3/ 12-hour shifts, 7:30 am -8pm.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 1 year as an LPN in a clinical setting
• IV skills preferred but will train. 

EDUCATION:

• Must be a graduate of an approved LPN program.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice. BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to work independently and multitask under the direction of a RN or licensed independent practitioner.
• Ability to manage medical emergencies and/or contrast reactions under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner.
• Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
