Specialty license or certification required which is acquired through training and/or experience. This career stream will be most commonly applied to patient care areas.
Entry-level position typically requiring little to no prior knowledge or experience and require vocational or technical education. Work is routine or follows standard procedures. Work is closely supervised. Communicates information that requires little explanation or interpretation
Minimum Requirements
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent required. Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.
Experience: 1-year relevant experience preferred
Licensure: Certification with a nationally recognized phlebotomy organization (NHA, ASCP, NCCT or equivalent) preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping and climbing (ladder, steps); Repetitive motion: extension and flexion at wrist. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull less than 20lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, noise, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The pay range for this role is $18.00 - $25.28 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
