What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Program Lead - Young Explorers position at UU Church of Concord (NH)?
Concord UU is seeking a creative, organized, and reliable team member to serve as Program Lead for our Sunday morning Young Explorers Program for children 5-12 years old.
Our ideal candidate has experience guiding children in a school or camp setting, OR at least two years of college level training in early childhood or school age education, OR equivalent lived experience.
5 hours per week, with 3.5 hours on Sundays (9:15 am to 12:45 pm) and 1.5 hours of flexible planning time.
$125 per week
Requirements:
- At least two years of college level training in early childhood or school age education, two years of work experience in a school/camp setting, or equivalent lived experience.
- Proven ability to communicate and work cohesively as a team with other staff and volunteers.
- Able to communicate effectively with a diverse group of children and parents.
- Willingness to take initiative and independently problem-solve.
- Willingness to work in multiple environments including inside our building classroom spaces and outside on our property utilizing our nature trails, natural playground, and grove clearing.
- A love for children and desire to see them explore, play, and grow.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Proficiency in oral and written English.
- Able to communicate via text and operate confidently in Google Apps including Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, and Gmail.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
