Back-Up Machine Operator - Weekend Day

Utz Quality Foods is expanding, and our newly developed Plant 5 facility in Hanover, PA is creating exciting new opportunities. We are currently seeking a Back-Up Machine Operator to join our team of manufacturing professionals on the weekend day shift, working Friday through Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

This role plays a critical part in supporting daily production operations by ensuring materials, equipment, and packaging lines run efficiently while meeting Utz's high standards for quality and food safety. Apply today and become part of the Utz tradition of quality and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Supplies production lines and packing stations with needed materials.

• Moves product from packing area to warehouse by pulling hand-jack filled with product.Must have or be able to obtain forklift license.

• Substitutes for Packaging Machine Operator during breaks, lunches, illness and vacations.

• Assists in shrink wrapping responsibilities of all items within Repack area

• Changes code date to appropriate daily and weekly code and price.

• Start, stop, and operate production lines and labeling equipment (manual and robotics)

• Communicates production issues and opportunities to immediate supervisor.

• Programs, troubleshoots, and makes adjustments on robot to ensure efficiency.

• Checks bags for correct code date, price, and bag integrity.

• Completes all manufacturing paperwork and data entry in an efficient and accurate manner.

• Operates, communicates and is proficient in Redzone and reports on performance metrics.

• Responsible to follow all safety rules and work safely at all times.

• Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.

Requirements

• Requires basic math and reading skills.
• Must be willing and able to stand 100% of the time
• Requires knowledge of product quality and production processes.
• Prior Machine Operating experience.
• Prior Food Manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Moderate lifting (40lbs).
