Raw Material Utility - Day Shift

At Utz Quality Foods, we have expanded our Kings Mountain, NC manufacturing facility and looking for a dedicated Raw Material Utility to join our team. This hands-on role will involve material handling, operating palletizing equipment, and supporting our packaging operations to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.

Available Schedules Include:

• Week 1: Monday-Thursday, 6:30 AM-6:30 PM/ Week 2: Monday-Wednesday, 6:30 AM-6:30 PM (Schedule repeats weekly)

• Week 1: Friday-Sunday 6:30AM-6:30PM/ Week 2: Thursday-Sunday 6:30AM-6:30PM (Schedule repeats weekly)

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to safety standards to maintain a zero-accident culture on the production floor.
• Operate and adjust robotic palletizers and production equipment, ensuring proper programming for new products and specifications.
• Accurately track and enter pallet data into our data collection systems and complete inventory control logs.
• Review production schedules, move pallets from the production area to the warehouse, and ensure materials are staged for the next shift.
• Ensure labeling and barcoding are correct and address any packaging quality issues with attention to detail.
• Ensure that equipment and work areas are cleaned and well-maintained.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of Food Manufacturing experience is preferred
• Understanding of food safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer and data entry skills for tracking and monitoring equipment performance.
• Forklift experience and the ability to obtain a certification on day one.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while staying organized and detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, production environment.
• Bilingual preferred to support diverse team communication.
