Packaging Machine Operator - Weekend Days

Utz Quality Foods is expanding, and we're excited to bring new talent on board! We're currently seeking Packaging Machine Operators to join our Weekend Day Shift team. This role offers steady hours Friday to Sunday 6AM-6PM, a dependable 3-day workweek, and the chance to grow your career with a company that's been a household name for generations.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate packaging lines safely and efficiently

• Perform routine checks at shift start and throughout the day to ensure machines are running properly

• Monitor packaging quality (weights, seals, codes, pricing)

• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and support maintenance as needed

• Keep accurate records of production, film usage, and quality checks

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

• Communicate with the next shift and support teamwork across lines

• Train new operators as needed

Requirements:

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills

• Ability to read and understand English instructions and communicate effectively with operators and maintenance personnel

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to obtain a forklift license (training provided)

• Basic computer skills for simple data entry

• Knowledge of packaging machine equipment (preferred, but training available)

• Strong teamwork and communication skills
