Assistant Fryer Operator - Weekend Days

We're looking for dependable and motivated individuals to join our team as Back Up or "Floater" Fryer Operators on our Weekend Day Shift. Responsibilities:

• Inspect peeled potatoes and trim defects to ensure high-quality raw potato input for frying.

• Operate the potato chip fryer as needed, including start-up and shut-down procedures.

• Perform daily and weekly sanitation procedures for peeler, slicer, or frying areas.

• Change and adjust blades on peeler and slicer equipment.

• Prepare peeler, slicer, or fryer systems for production start-up.

• Operate peeler and slicer systems to maintain a consistent supply of properly prepared potatoes for fryer operations.

• Identify and report quality or mechanical issues to the supervisor.

• Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams and support diverse workgroups.

• Follow all safety protocols and communicate any safety concerns to the supervisor.

• Maintain quality and food safety standards specific to the role.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Ability to work the required shift of Friday-Sunday 6:00AM-6:00PM

• Ability to read and understand English instructions and communicate effectively with operators and maintenance personnel

• Experience operating production equipment
• Ability to perform basic mechanical tasks and use tools like Allen wrenches and screwdrivers
• Knowledge of safe operating practices, including lock-out/tag-out programs
• Strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work around hot equipment
