Sanitation Technician - Second Shift

Working on Second Shift Monday – Friday from 3:30PM – 11:30 PM, and help maintain the high standards that make Utz a trusted name in food. Responsibilities:

• Participate in all packaging room sanitation activities in order to maintain, clean, and safeguard
  equipment and facilities.
• Possess willingness and flexibility to move within other Campus production facilities to clean all areas
  of respective packaging rooms (as required).
• Demonstrate working knowledge, and is approved by Sanitation Leadership, in the following areas:
  o Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
  o Proper chemical disbursement procedures.
  o Ability to safely work with, and around, chemicals (both mild and harsh).
  o Operation of High Reach and Forklift and maintains current license.
  o Lift 50 lbs.
  o Perform work on elevated surfaces and is comfortable with heights.
  o Certification to operate any and all can washers across Campus production facilities.
• Use air wands, high pressure rinse, cleaning chemicals, hand cleaning, squeegees, and motorized
  sweepers to maintain all surfaces and equipment.
• Remove all waste and dispose in the appropriate container.
• Return all tables, mats, hoses, and cleaning equipment to proper position.

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest food safety and sanitation standards.
• Reliability, strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift and lift up to 50lbs regularly.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and reach to clean areas on production machines.
• Capability to safely operate cleaning equipment and follow all safety procedures.
• Dedication to maintaining Utz's commitment to quality and safety.
• Experience working in a USDA-regulated facility is a plus but not required.
• Ability to comfortably wear and work with various forms of PPE.
• A strong team player who can also work independently to meet production goals.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Familiar with working in a USDA regulated facility
