Talent Partnerships Manager (part-time contract)
"Kawaii" (Japanese for cute) is now the #1 subculture for women globally. Blind boxes. Claw machines. Gashapon machines. But most importantly... never-ending cuteness.
Founded by a former TikTok executive, Utopic aspires to be the next big name in kawaii culture. By building a live service mobile game and portfolio of collectible toys, we aim to popularize a new generation of cute characters for kawaii fans around the world.
We are looking for a Talent Partnerships Manager to help manage our relationship with creative talent, such as character artists, designers and illustrators, and build a talent partnerships funnel from outreach to onboarding. This is a remote part-time contract role. Join us to create a cultural phenomenon.
What you'll do:
- Develop a talent partnerships toolkit including outreach emails, pitch decks, pitch scripts, and FAQs
- Conduct talent outreach, vetting, pitching, and negotiation
- Negotiate rates, terms and deal structure with talent, closing partnerships with high efficiency
- Monitor talent partnerships funnel and conversion rates, identifying areas of improvement and implementing changes to our onboarding approach
- Refine and evolve our talent tiering and partnership framework using real-time signals and talent feedback
- Manage talent relationships at scale and ensure high talent satisfaction and retention
- Understand the needs of creative talent and champion their voices within the company
What you'll bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in partnerships, business development, sales, account management or client success roles
- A successful track record of pitches and negotiation in creative and entertainment industries preferred
- Passion for anime/kawaii culture, gacha/cozy games, and toy collecting preferred
- Resourceful and self-motivated with excellent communication skills
- Strong empathy for creative talent and artists and their unique needs
