Speech Therapist
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. The Speech Therapist will play a crucial role in early intervention and rehabilitation, providing tailored therapy plans to meet each patient's unique needs.
Speech Therapist Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve speech clarity, language comprehension, and social communication skills.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about speech therapy techniques and strategies for continued improvement at home.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
Speech Therapist Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Therapist.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech therapy practices.
- Experience in pediatrics or working within a school setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies for children with speech and language delays.
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology as it relates to speech production and language processing.
- Excellent patient assessment skills to identify individual needs effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to create a supportive environment that fosters patient engagement in the therapeutic process.
