ABOUT THE ROLE:
We're on the lookout for a dynamic Marketing Specialist who thrives on creating content that drives real business results. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role for someone who loves building, creating, and optimizing B2B content.
Content Strategy with Lead Generation Mindset
- Develop content that supports our sales pipeline, turning cold audiences into warm leads
- Brainstorm content ideas that resonate with conference organizers, nonprofit leaders, and corporate event planners
- Test different CTAs, thumbnails, formats, and messaging to learn what drives conversions
- Monitor performance and adjust strategy based on what's driving business outcomes
Social Media Management
- Manage daily social media presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube
- Write captions with strong hooks that optimize for dwell time and engagement
- Plan and manage content calendar via Monday.com
- Handle daily engagement: proactive commenting and responding to all comments
Content Creation & Video Production
- Script, film, and edit short-form phone-based video (Reels, Shorts) end to end
- Design thumbnails for short-form video (usually talking-head still with overlay text)
- Contribute ideas for long-form content and assist our Creative Director with professional filming or editing when helpful
- Coordinate monthly content days in our studio, directing team members on camera
- Capture footage at client events when attending
- Analyze performance and adjust based on what's actually working
You'll thrive in this role if you're:
- Driven with a self-starter mentality
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools while knowing when authenticity and human touch matter most
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
- 2-4 years of content marketing or social media experience
- Deep understanding of LinkedIn (algorithm, what makes people stop scrolling, how to drive engagement)
- Video editing experience
- A love for getting shit done
- An objectively great personality and a love for other objectively great personalities
- An understanding that cleaning the toilet at Utopia is above no one, including the President. We are all team players, all the time, and you should be too

- Graphic design skills (Canva or Adobe)
- Event industry experience
- Experience with Monday.com and HubSpot
