What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nutritionist I - Stafford WIC position at UTMB Health?
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field. No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Spanish speaking is preferred, but not required.
Job Summary:
Nutritionist I provides nutritional information and services to patients, families, and interest groups.
Job Duties:
- Plans, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates nutritional programs.
- Develops and implements plan of care and correlates with other health services.
- Evaluates patient's nutritional care and provides follow-up continuity of care.
- Instructs patients and families in nutritional principles, diet, food selection and economics.
- Provides consultation to and works with community groups.
- Maintains records of all individuals counseled.
- Adheres to internal controls established for department.
- Performs related duties as required.
Salary Range: Actual salary commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule:
On-site, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
