Position: Inside Trailer Salesperson
Responsibilities:
- Maintain knowledge of current product sales and promotions.
- Geographically define the demographics of the area of responsibility and create a strategic plan to identify all potential customers. Effectively organize territory.
- Identify and profile target accounts and execute a plan to develop them as a customer/partner.
- Develop relationships with vendors for lead recognition.
- Develop the secondary support market (parts/service) in their area of responsibility.
- Research all customers as to their buying habits, their specific needs, pricing criterion and potential forecast.
- Identify & maintain core accounts and reinforce their purchase decisions by continually offering them solutions to their changing environment.
- Communicate with corporate sales team to provide the appropriate specs and pricing for various bookings.
- Prepare customer quote and pricing in a timely manner.
- Perform factory visits with customers as necessary.
- Confirm with customer that all specifications are correct before an order is placed.
- Collect and verify funds before release of any trailers.
- Communicate with fellow employees to ensure customer satisfaction with all trailer deliveries.
- Manage and track all orders.
- Provide management with the actual forecast for the upcoming year.
- Attend and participate in local and national trade shows.
- Maintains an effective working relationship with management, customers, and vendors.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- You must follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in semi-trailer, parts, sales, and/or related heavy-duty equipment is required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- You must dress in professional appearance.
- Must be able to overcome objections, negotiate price and convince hesitant buyers to make the purchase and successfully close the sale.
- Requires office skills including personal computer, Microsoft products (Word for Windows, Excel, and Outlook), 10-key and the ability to operate other office equipment. Excellent organizational and filing skills.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, Solid organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.

- The ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to occasionally lift/or move up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to stand for long periods of time, engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and pushing.
- Must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold.
