Job Summary

Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and drivability issues on a wide variety of equipment.

  • Perform inspections, maintenance, repairs, adjustments, installations, and equipment preparation.
  • Inspect equipment and develop accurate repair plans before beginning work.
  • Follow manufacturer service procedures, warranty requirements, and company repair standards.
  • Test and verify completed repairs to ensure equipment is operating properly before delivery.
  • Identify additional repair needs and communicate recommendations promptly.
  • Accurately document diagnostics, labor, parts usage, and completed repairs on repair orders.
  • Maintain productivity and efficiency standards while producing high-quality work.
  • Coordinate with Parts, Sales, and Service personnel to ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Maintain personal and company tools, diagnostic equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
  • Participate in manufacturer and company training programs.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment concerns, repair status, and operating information when appropriate.
  • Assist with equipment setup, delivery preparation, and seasonal service workloads as needed.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience diagnosing and repairing agricultural, construction, turf, diesel, automotive, powersports, or related equipment is preferred:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic abilities.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems.
  • Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical information.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and maintaining a professional work environment.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift parts and components, work outdoors when required, and safely operate shop equipment.
  • Experience working with any of the following is preferred.
  • Tractors
  • Skid steers
  • Excavators
  • Golf carts and utility vehicles
  • Commercial mowing equipment
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Diesel engines
  • Electrical diagnostics
  • OEM diagnostic software and repair procedures
  • Manufacturer certifications are a plus but not required.
