Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in accounting principles and the ability to apply that knowledge in a dynamic, multifaceted environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions, including currency translations between business entities.
- Conduct accounting research and provide guidance on complex and unique transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, reorganization activities, and minority investments.
- Consolidate and analyze intercompany activity to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Ensure accurate recording of self-constructed assets, capital purchases, and disposals.
- Maintain and manage fixed asset records across multiple locations using the asset management system.
- Collaborate with various departments and factory management on accounting-related matters.
- Support ad hoc projects and special assignments as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business Administration
- 5 years of General Accounting experience and financial statement preparation
- Experience with Consolidation and Elimination Companies
- Excellent analytical and accounting skills
- Manufacturing accounting knowledge preferred.
- Self-motivated and proactive problem solver
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty
- Strong organization skills
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
- Extensive computer and systems knowledge and General Ledger experience
- Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Access
- Knowledge of Microsoft D365 and Power BI a plus
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment.
