Position: Traffic Control Flagger (Traffic Control Technician)
Reports to: Traffic Control Supervisor
Summary:
Utility Traffic & Restoration, LLC. (UTR) has immediate openings for Traffic Control Flaggers in our WI Traffic Division. UTR is a union contractor specializing in traffic control and surface restoration services for utility companies and their contractors throughout the Midwest.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license class D with clean driving record (Required)
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to create and maintain relationships with vendors, customers, and employees
- Ability to coordinate several tasks at once and work under strict deadlines
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug testing, and DOT physical
- Must always be reliable and professional
- Ability to safely operate a company vehicle to and from job sites
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a semi-regular basis
- Compliance with all safety regulations is mandatory
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to stand for long periods of time in the elements
- Must be able to jobsite report within a 50-mile radius of your home address
Primary responsibilities:
- Set up, maintain, and remove temporary traffic control work zones and flag traffic according to MUTCD & WISDOT standards to maintain safe work zones for customers
- Communicate with team members and customers
- Additional duties as requested by management
