We are seeking a CNC Saw Operator to join our team in Hickory, NC!
Department: Production / Machine Shop
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Position Summary
The CNC Saw Operator is responsible for safely operating CNC saw equipment to cut raw materials according to work orders, drawings, and production requirements. This position ensures material is cut accurately, properly identified, and ready for downstream production.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC saws safely and efficiently.
- Review work orders, drawings, and cut requirements.
- Verify the correct material before cutting.
- Set up saw dimensions, quantities, and programs as required.
- Measure and inspect cut material for accuracy.
- Label and organize completed material for the next operation.
- Identify and separate scrap or nonconforming material.
- Monitor blade and machine condition and report problems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
Qualifications
- Ability to read a tape measure and basic manufacturing drawings.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to safely handle raw materials.
- Manufacturing or machine-operation experience preferred.
- Forklift or material-handling experience preferred.
Expectations
Maintain a safe work environment while producing accurate parts at the required production rate. Operators are responsible for verifying their work and reporting quality, material, or equipment problems before they affect downstream production.
Schedule: 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday
Pay Rate: $20-23/hr
Salary : $20 - $23
