Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to join our team. As an RSM, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our residential regulators to potential customers. Your tasks will include identifying potential clients, understanding their needs, and presenting USG products that meet their specifications.


Our ideal candidate has a solid understanding of the gas regulator industry, sales experience, and excellent communication skills.


Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Sales or similar role.
  • Knowledge of the gas regulator equipment industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and selling skills.
  • Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients.
  • Highly motivated and target-driven.
  • Excellent communication skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, answer their queries, and handle their objections effectively.
  • Sales skills for identifying potential customers, closing deals, and meeting sales targets.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple clients, maintain records of sales, and schedule appointments efficiently.
  • Technical skills to perform demonstrations of regulators and explain their functioning to customers.


Regional Sales Manager Scorecard


Mission – to take our residential regulator line directly to large utilities. To that end, the mission of the Regional Sales Manager will be to identify key personnel in said utility companies/build relationships and sell our product to the utility company. A successful Regional Sales Manager will accomplish this by ensuring customers are satisfied with the delivery, quality, and performance requirements of the products. Finally, a successful Regional Sales Manager will be able to understand and teach pressure regulation fundamentals, but more specifically, understand how USG’s products compare and contrast to competitive products.

  • Ability to design and administer programs to improve sales performance
  • Understand and/or teach pressure regulation concepts and specific product performance outcomes
  • Ability to research, understand, and advise on customer trends that impact company’s product


Outcomes in first 3 Months:

  • Transfer utility relationships from distributors to Utility Solutions Group.
  • Identify the key contact at each utility to best position our regulator.
  • Establish Utility Solutions Group as an approved vendor at existing utility accounts.
  • Identify top accounts in geography.
  • Gather service regulators specifications from utilities within your region.
  • Establish key relationships within distributors.


Additional Activities:

  • Attend weekly sales meetings to discuss territory activity.
  • Will be required to enter opportunities and projects in CRM.
  • Identify/attend trade shows/events that benefit or support the regional distributor.
  • Will participate in quarterly performance reviews.


Compensation/Benefits

Total Compensation: Includes base salary, plus commission, which should result in $120-130K in year one, depending on performance, experience, qualifications, and fit.
