Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Camp Hill, PA, for a Jet Vac Operator. As a Jet Vac Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining specialized vacuum and water jetting equipment used for cleaning storm and sanitary sewers. Daily tasks include equipment operation, troubleshooting, site inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. You will be expected to collaborate with team members, complete scheduled maintenance operations, and abide by safety protocols during each project.
Qualifications
- Perform tasks involving strenuous manual labor in a utility installation work environment.
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
- Safely drive and operate CDL Class B Jet Vac Truck including tanker and air brake endorsements.
- Operation and driving of Jet Vac is subject to all PennDOT and FHWA DOT Regulation for operating a CLASS B vehicle.
- Perform cleaning operations in accordance with NASSCO standards and client generated standards and specifications.
- Cleaning and pumping of wet wells, pumping stations and various containment facilities.
- Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities.
- Follow directions as provided by USG to complete assigned tasks.
- Set up and tear down of buy-pass pumping operation to allow for appropriate inspection of pipe within required flow tolerances.
- Set-up, tear down and operation of traffic control in accordance with DOT Standard operating procedures.
- Manage a small crew of 2 to 6 people to perform cleaning of sanitary and storm sewers.
- Disposal of materials at authorized disposal facilities and as directed by management staff.
- Position is considered a safety sensitive position.
