Job Summary

Utility Pipeline Ltd. (Knox Energy & KNG Energy) is searching for a Gas Utility Technician who would operate in Northwest Ohio within Sandusky, Seneca, Huron, Richland, Wyandot, Morrow, Marion, and Hancock counties. This person would preferably live in the Tiffin area so that they are centrally located in order to respond to emergencies. This technician would report to our Northwest office in Findlay, OH. Training will start out in Findlay, but once trained, this individual will work mainly in the above locations. Experience in the natural gas distribution field is a plus. This is a full time position with benefits.

General Responsibilities

• Respond to various work orders 
• Line locating
• Leak surveys, inspections, and compliance-related tasks
• Annual maintenance of pipelines and facilities
• Heavy equipment operation
• Install and remove meters
• Meter reading and install ERTs
• Install pipelines, taps, and customer service lines
• Oversee and inspect sub-contractors on assigned projects 
• Maintain company vehicle and equipment
• Complete necessary paperwork for daily tasks
• On-call rotation/emergency call outs 

Job Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 1 years of related experience preferred but not required
• Valid and clean driver’s license 
• “Class A” CDL a plus but not required
• Willing and able to pass a drug and alcohol test (pre-employment and random)
• Willing to complete required online training and pipeline safety training programs
