Utility Concrete Products, LLC is the leading precast concrete producer in the Midwest. We make precast concrete products for the communication, electrical and transportation industries, as well as custom applications. From design to installation, we have dedicated over 50 years of service to our customers.
Utility Concrete Products is currently looking to add Laborers of all skill levels to our team. Laborers will perform a wide range of duties to safely and efficiently produce precast concrete products with a focus on our quality standards.
Responsibilities
Laborers will perform a wide range of duties including but not limited to:
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
- Ability to set up forms for pouring; cut/install rebar, stressing rebar, tying mesh
- Cut, bend, place, and tie steel rebar
- Prepare and place bed forms for concrete
- Pouring, raking and shoveling concrete
- Strip and clean completed concrete products
- Clean forms & beds after concrete product is removed
- Transfer completed products to yard and assist with loading trucks
- Ability to operate yard equipment, forklifts, MI-Jack
- Maintain good housekeeping
- Follow all company safety, quality and environmental practices, policies and procedures
- Follow the company maintenance program
Knowledge/Skills
- Flexibility and willingness to work in multiple positions
- Good attendance and a positive attitude
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Knowledge and skills to use basic hand and power tools, including a tape measure
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication & division)
- Ability to lift 80 lbs.
- Must be able to stand/walk duration of shift
- Required physical examination
Experience/Education:
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent or combination of education, training and experience.
- Related industry or construction experience preferred
