What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overhead Distribution Lineman Instructor position at Utilitrain?
Think you’ve got what it takes to teach the next generation of lineworkers? Utilitrain is on the lookout for an instructor who is ready to pass on their knowledge to the next generation.
We're not looking for an ordinary “teacher”, though. These students need a mentor, a leader, a hands-on, boots on the ground-type, who has restored power after storms, worked in all elements, climbed more poles than you can count, knows the limits of the job, and wants to push others to their peak potential.
Your mission will be getting our green recruits ready for field work at a utility company or contractor. You'll be teaching alongside a team of industry experienced professionals, both in a classroom and putting your field experience on display at our 38-acre campus.
Responsibilities? You will be instructing students through a well-documented pre-apprentice program and making sure they can do basic fieldwork exercises safely. The instructor will be responsible to evaluate and document student progress, provide feedback, and guide them to success, one lesson at a time.
Utilitrain values its people, offers competitive compensation and is passionate about building partnerships that will last a lifetime.
So, if you are driven to help the next generation succeed and have what it takes to forge our students into tip-top shape, we want to hear from you.
