Position Summary
The Fabrication Technician supports the assembly, preparation, and movement of mobile security trailer systems. This role includes general shop support and logistics/errands.
The position is intended as a support role within the Fabricated Services department. Work is conducted under direction of experienced personnel and within defined internal assembly processes.
This is an entry-level opportunity for individuals seeking hands-on experience with mobile equipment systems, shop operations, and basic component integration.
Key Responsibilities
Shop & Assembly Support
- Assist team members with preparation and staging of materials and components for security trailer systems.
- Support positioning and handling of equipment and components as directed by qualified personnel.
- Perform basic tasks such as organizing materials, labeling, and managing pre-configured components.
- Maintain organization of tools, parts, and materials within the shop.
- Assist with visual checks and general condition reviews under direction (non-technical, non-diagnostic).
Logistics & Material Handling
- Pick up parts and materials from suppliers.
- Deliver equipment, trailers, or materials to designated locations.
- Assist with loading/unloading trailers and equipment.
- Maintain shop cleanliness and organization.
- Support inventory handling and parts organization.
Learning & Development
- Develop familiarity with company equipment and assembly processes.
- Observe and assist team members in troubleshooting activities (non-technical support role).
- Learn safe handling and organization of low-voltage components and equipment.
- Progress toward increased responsibility within defined, non-licensed scope of work.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
- Reliable transportation.
- Basic hand-tool familiarity.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with general assembly, shop work, or material handling.
- Exposure to audio/video or low-voltage systems (non-licensed environments).
- Mechanical aptitude or prior hands-on experience.
- CDL (any class).
