Medical Records Coordinator
Job description
Purpose: Utica Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is dedicated to providing quality care to our patients, and we are looking for a compassionate and experienced Medical Records Coordinator who wants to grow with our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, processing, and maintaining patient medical records and reporting patient information for health standards. He or she will also ensure medical records are maintained in a manner compliant with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the medical services system. - APPLY TODAY!
Duties and Responsibilities:
Checks in all discharge charts, contacts units if not received.
Maintain transfer logs.
Process request for primary care physicians
Maintains correspondence logs.
Assembles, analyzes and log deficiencies.
Pull records as requested which also includes all in-facility requests.
Maintain chart location logbook.
Purge old records for storage.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED, required.
Skilled in medical terminology and an understanding of anatomy
Computer Savvy-proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with strong data entry skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Someone who likes to be part of a team; contributes as an active team member; helps out the team as needed.
