What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enterprise Statistical Reporting Analyst I or II or III position at Utica National Insurance Group?
We’re seeking a Statistical Reporting Analyst to ensure compliance with statistical and DMV reporting requirements for Utica and Founders. In this role, you will extract and validate data from multiple systems, ensure timely and accurate submissions to regulatory agencies, and support internal teams with reporting inquiries.
You’ll assist in implementing system changes, testing, and process improvements to maintain data integrity and compliance. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with IT, claims, and business units, while contributing to automation initiatives and corporate projects that enhance efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure statistical reporting compliance for Utica and Founders, including extracting and collecting statistical and DMV data from all source systems for accurate and timely submission to agencies such as NCCI, state WC bureaus, ISO, state DMV, ISS, etc.
- Assist in responding to inquiries from Statistical and DMV organizations requesting clarification or correction of submitted data, as well as internal inquiries regarding reporting rules.
- Assist in communicating changes to affected departments and business units. Track changes to data call requirements and request necessary changes, working with IT, claims, or business areas to implement and test before deadlines.
- Assist in researching and analyzing regulatory bulletins and supporting system changes, including interpreting product, premium, claim, or policy information for statistical reporting. Recommend changes to support accurate reporting and contribute to business requirements for data quality and governance.
- Assist in testing statistical reporting changes for system implementations, projects, monthly releases, and bureau updates.
- Partner with business areas and IT to identify new solutions or alternative uses of existing technology to meet data needs.
- Ensure data quality and integrity meets corporate governance policies and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Provide support for corporate projects and initiatives, offering regulatory guidance for accurate reporting.
- Assist with developing and maintaining department documentation of processes and best practices.
- Identify and escalate issues promptly to meet statutory deadlines, including submitting IT incident tickets or WRIKES for changes.
- Identify and assist in developing automation opportunities for processes and workflows to improve efficiency and cost management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Conforms with all corporate policies and procedures.
What you need – Analyst I
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Less than 2 years of experience required.
- 1 years of technical insurance knowledge or general understanding of insurance operations (policy and/or claims) preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams required.
- Experience with business intelligence software/analytics platforms and/or Oracle, Snowflake, SQL preferred.
Salary Range:
$63,000 - $70,000
The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range is reflective of the employee’s work experience, geographic location, education, certification(s), scope and responsibilities in the role, and additional qualifications.
Analyst II – An additional 2 years of experience required – Salary: $70,000- $85,000
Analyst III- An additional 5 years of experience required – Salary: $85,000- $110,000
